Members of the Council of Reference

Our intention is always to minister with authority while remaining accountable for what we do. We have invited a small group of people we know and trust to hold us accountable for both the way we run the ministry and the way we practise it.

If you have had an issue with ministry received from us or our team that has not been resolved by speaking to us — or which you would prefer not to discuss with us — you may contact the Council at CoR@wonderfullyfree.org.

Our Council of Reference is made up of three couples: Bruce and Merly Bundy, Fergus and Hilary Law, and Will and Jo Pearse.

Hilary Law BSc (Hons) and Fergus Law BSc, MBChB, FRCPsych

Fergus has degrees in psychology and medicine and worked in the British NHS or NHS-commissioned services as a Consultant Psychiatrist from 2001 to 2023. He now maintains a small private practice. In 2016, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists for his contribution to psychiatry in the UK.

He is well known in the UK addiction field for innovative protocols and care pathways adopted by many NHS and non-NHS providers. He has contributed to national expert groups, spoken at conferences, reviewed and edited academic journals, acted as a trustee for addiction and trauma charities, and published peer-reviewed research and book chapters.

Fergus developed an interest in strategies promoting lay healing through both personal experience and academic evidence. He is keen to bring oversight and encourage a high quality of care for Wonderfully Free.

Hilary is a leader, mentor and encourager with decades of experience in ministry, leadership and community-building. She has a diploma in Counselling Skills and spent 16 years on the staff team of a local church, serving across prayer ministry, healing courses, women’s ministry, international missions, pastoral care, conference planning and team development.

For the past decade, Hilary and Fergus have focused on strengthening families through parenting, marriage and relationship courses. Hilary also works with a UK charity supporting families locally and in the Philippines. Her leadership reflects a deep love for people and a belief that God’s healing can reach every part of life.

Will and Jo Pearse

Will and Jo’s lives have been shaped by faith, family and a passion for helping others. Will came to faith at 16 and has served in traditional and house-church communities as a worship leader and minister specialising in inner healing, including Bethel Sozo.

Jo committed herself to Christianity as a teenager through Youth for Christ. After meeting Will at university, they experienced a powerful move of God that shaped their shared journey. Jo later became a full-time mother to their twin boys and founded a home-school group within their house church.

They are now grandparents and remain deeply committed to helping others find freedom and healing from past struggles and generational patterns through prayer ministry, deliverance and Sozo.

Bruce and Merly Bundy

Since 1988, Bruce and Merly have lived and served internationally. Newly married and fresh from university, they moved from the United States to Madrid to work with young people and local churches, sharing a message of freedom, identity and hope in Christ.

A small group in their living room grew into the Brethren in Christ Church in Spain, now represented by communities in Madrid and Figueras. They later launched Come Walk on the Edge, an internship equipping young people to navigate a postmodern world with faith and purpose.

Over the years, Bruce and Merly have served as pastors, teachers, counsellors, event coordinators, coaches and friends. After more than 30 years in Madrid, they moved to Asturias in northern Spain and opened a guesthouse on the Camino de Santiago, continuing their ministry of welcome, peace and restoration.

As members of the Council of Reference, Bruce and Merly are honoured to support Wonderfully Free’s mission of helping people encounter the freedom Jesus offers. They carry a deep belief that transformation is possible for anyone, anywhere.
